As the final curtain falls, the actress finds herself haunted by a lingering question left behind by her character. Through countless performances as Princess Zhao, she finds it harder to believe that this tragic end was the only path possible. “Did Princess Zhao have any other choice besides death?” — This single question propels her onto a journey to uncover the truth. Gazing back across thousands of years, she continuously encounters different facets of Princess Zhao, confronting each of their distinct destinies once more. Gradually, she realises that what she is questioning is no longer just a character’s fate, but the very choices that once existed — only to be swallowed by the shifting tides of history. And that persistent rain continues to fall, in silence.
